Have you ever wanted to have your family jewels or coveted painting appraised by a valuations expert? Well, now’s your chance. Take a look around your home and bring along items for appraisal and find out how much they may be worth at auction.
Hosted by Dore & Rees, with specialists Lee Young, Marc Allum, Susan Rumfitt, Duncan Campbell and Richard Price, well-known to many from the BBC Antiques Roadshow, on hand to assist with auction valuations of Asian Art, ceramics, silver, paintings and watercolours, jewellery, watches and more. Please bring photographs of larger items along for ease.
The event will start at 2pm, with a welcome talk giving insight into the world of the Antiques Roadshow, followed by an afternoon of appraisals. So do bring along up to five items and put our team of specialists’ knowledge to the test!
Tickets can be purchased through the Cheese & Grain Frome Festival box office when released.
About The Bennett Centre:
Founded in 1854, by William James Early Bennett, the Vicar of Frome, The Bennett Centre started life as an infant school, which in time became the Church Hall and today provides a community space for those in Frome and its surrounding areas. Its is used regularly by wide variety of groups, providing for all ages including exercise classes, educational workshops, concerts, children groups and much more.
The aim is to now complete the building project, creating a separate entrance to the Cloisters which would also provide disabled access, the creation of an exterior garden space and new doors and windows at ground level and an internal lift to enable access for all throughout the whole building. The end result will be a Centre with four potential rooms to hire based in the centre of Frome.
