Designer and rock-and-roll muse Pearl Lowe will be auctioning the contents of her beautiful Somerset Home in our Select Interiors sale on 23 January 2026. With fine furniture, artworks and rare treasures available to buy in this special Interiors sale, this unique auction will showcase Pearl’s eclectic world, bringing together her signature bohemian glamour, romantic vintage finds and mystical, rock-and-roll chic.

“Every piece carries a story,” says Pearl Lowe. “These objects have been loved, lived with and used in my homes. It feels like the perfect time for them to have a new life with someone who will treasure them as much as I have.”

 PEARL LOWE

Pearl Lowe was born and brought up in London. Creative from an early age with a keen eye for design, she started customising her own clothes as a child. Pearl went on to a career in music, rising to prominence on the mid nineties music scene as lead singer of the bands Powder and Lodger.   After moving to the countryside with her husband, Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, and their children, Pearl began designing interiors, homewares and clothing, including her signature lace panels and vintage-inspired dresses. She has created clothing collections for Peacocks and childrenswear lines for Harrods and Selfridges, as well as working on interior design projects for high-profile clients and creating her own bespoke wallpaper collection. On screen, Pearl has featured as an expert on Channel 4’s Four Rooms and BBC Two’s Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, and as a guest judge on Britain’s Next Top Model.

Today, Pearl divides her time between London and the countryside, juggling life with four children and one grandchild with her professional projects.

Pearl’s highly-acclaimed memoir, All That Glitters, was published in 2007, charting her experiences with fame, drug addiction and recovery. Her first interiors book, Pearl Lowe’s Vintage Craft: 50 Craft Projects and Home Styling Advice, debuted in 2013. Faded Glamour in the City, published in October 2025, is Pearl’s fifth book, following the success of Faded Glamour: Inspirational Interiors and Beautiful Homes (2019) and Faded Glamour by the Sea (2022).

Avid watchers of the Antiques Roadshow, Pearl and husband, Danny have been regulars at Dore & Rees for many years. They recount the time that they realised that they were once accidentally bidding against each other, with Pearl downstairs and Danny upstairs on the Mezzanine!

UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS

 selwood lodge

One of Frome’s most charming homes, Selwood Lodge sits on the edge of the town in a bucolic setting. The rambling property, built circa 1820, is a beautifully presented Grade II listed country house, constructed of mellow honey coloured rubble stone under a clay fish scale tiled roof. There are gothic revival features, full height sash mullion windows in two-storey bay windows and an ornate stone door case. The house has eleven bedrooms and numerous entertaining spaces, each delightfully decorated in Pearl’s signature bohemian style. It’s glamorous yet cosy, and has provided the perfect backdrop for both magazine shoots and family life. After 9 years in the house, Pearl and husband Danny will be dividing their time between Somerset and their new apartment on Portobello Road, the perfect stomping ground for Pearl to hunt for antiques with her discerning eye.
