STEP1.

Appraisal

The best place to start is to request an auction estimate. Provide quality photographs, dimensions and provenance information about the items you wish to have appraised and our specialists will be able to give you an indicative auction estimate. Auction estimates can also be given in person by appointment at the saleroom, or at your home for larger items or collections.

STEP 2.

Consign

Once you are ready to sell your items, the next step is to consign them to auction by bringing your items to the saleroom or arranging for transportation. We will complete a consignment confirmation with you to confirm the estimate and allocate the items to an auction. A sellers commission of 15% is charged along with 1.5% (plus VAT) for insurance and any other applicable charges. Please see our Terms and Conditions of Sale for further details.

Auction day is the highlight of the process - there’s nothing like the buzz and atmosphere of the saleroom. To be part of the action, watch the auction online via doreandrees.com or join us in the saleroom to experience sale day first hand!

STEP 4.

results and payment

We will notify you of the result of the auction by email or you can call the saleroom to find out the result. A settlement statement will be sent to you confirming the amount you will receive. Your payment will be made 28 working days following the auction by BACS.
